RACING HIGHLIGHTS

O YA PURE COUNTRY WINS 2012 MAIDEN DEBUT

The 2012 Live Greyhound racing season began Saturday April 28th and Dubuque Greyhound Park. O Ya Pure Country from the Hardison & Rader Kennel trained by Brian Webb and owned by Gary Reicherts was the greyhound to beat in this race. Pure Country got out of the box and never looked back in a box to wire win. Scottys Buzz from the Copper Kettle Kennel took 2nd place,Boc's No Hitter from the Boeckenstedt Kennel took third and TJ Live Action from the River Bluffs Kennel took fourth.

BKR RAGEN WINS DUBUQUE INAUGURAL

The Live Greyhound racing season got underway saturday April 28th before a full house on hand to enjoy our first Stakes race of the season. BKR RAGEN from the L & K kennel,trained by Judi Hakim and owned by Kenton Rider put on a terriffic finish to win the $2000 Dubuque Inaugural. Hug N Dodgem from the Blanchard-Calabro Kennel was the race favorite and former winner of the Future Stars got out of the box first and lead thru the top of the home stretch. Bkr Ragen got out of the box in 4th spot but hugged the rail and passed Hug N Dodgem to run to a 3 length win. Hug N Dogem took second, Yahoo Affinity from the Hardison & Rader Kennel took third and Pat C BS Elevate from the Pat C Greyhound Kennel came in 4th.
